The mission of this unit is to enhance the department’s community-oriented and problem-oriented policing philosophy by providing more openly accessible deputies, increased citizen contacts, and general interaction within the community as well as having access to problem areas that were previously difficult to respond due to their nature and location.
The deputies assigned to this detail can be assigned to patrol residential areas, parks, and other areas as requested by local law enforcement agencies.
They provide security at events in the community and offer bike safety classes to organizations.
