Programs & Services
Since 1975, the York County Area Agency on Aging has been providing programs and services to older adults. Federally mandated through the Older American's Act and funded by the Federal, State, and County governments, our services have assisted older adults in maintaining their independence and to remain in the setting of their choice.
Whether it's a question about available resources, a concern about an older adult in a long-term care facility, or help needed in the home, we can be of assistance to you.

This service category is comprised of programs designed to meet the varied needs of consumers and caregivers.
Information & Referral
Information and Referral services provided by the York County Area Agency on Aging is a comprehensive one-stop service designed to inform the public of the benefits and services available to senior citizens in both York County and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
A qualified attorney who handles a wide range of legal problems confronting senior citizens provides legal services.
Long-term Care Programs is the umbrella for services designed to assist individuals who clinically require nursing facility care but would like to remain living in the community.
An Ombudsman is a trained individual who helps protect the rights of consumers of long-term care services including those persons residing in nursing homes, personal care boarding homes, or receiving long-term care services.
This program provides an opportunity for middle and high school students, in grades 7 through 12, to assist older adults in completing routine light-duty household chores and yard work such as mowing lawns and shoveling snow.
The York County Area Agency on Aging (YCAAA) along with the Pennsylvania Lottery subsidizes transportation services for eligible persons via the shared ride program through rabbittransit.
